What Is A Hollander Number?

Hollander is a universal numbering system for OEM automotive parts. As factory part numbers can get quite long and confusing, the Hollander numbering system has become quite handy. The Hollander number system is only 4 to 5 numbers long which makes memorizing them a breeze.

It is great for identifying interchangeable car parts. This is extremely useful because car manufacturers are reluctant to admit their parts can be interchangeable with vehicles to do not manufacture.

Manufacturers may give the same wheels manufactured in different years different part numbers. The Hollander system gives all these wheels one part number because they are exactly the same. It is particularly helpful in the wheel and rim industry because distributors are able to identify a wheel much faster and with greater accuracy.
